Spring officially began on March 20th. As Winter shifts to Spring, the weather warms up, flowers bloom, it is the perfect time to reflect and refresh. So, while a good spring cleaning of your home is always a good idea, what about checking in on your mental health at the same time? During the drab winter months, we can start to feel sluggish and not even realize that we may be feeling negative or lonely. With brighter days of Spring ahead, there is no better time of year to clean house, literally and figuratively. Not sure how to get started? Here are three easy steps…
- Pay Attention: Sometimes you don’t even realize that you have allowed negative thoughts into your life. Get rid of toxic words that enter your daily thoughts and instead try to be kinder to yourself.
- Put Pen To Paper: Being able to write out feelings allows you to be aware of what habits work for you and which ones do not. It is a great way to process your emotions at the end of a long day.
- Find Something New: Feeling stuck? Then it’s time to get moving. Whether it’s traveling, a new hobby, a career change, focus on what makes you feel refreshed mentally.
It’s important to check in regularly with yourself, and assess and remove the clutter. For the full article, visit Darling Magazine.
